As a Moroccan artist, who was born and raised in Belgium, I understand the struggle of not fitting in all too well. I was always trying to navigate between two worlds who are very different from each other. I don’t necessarily belong to the Belgian culture, but I don’t fully fit into the Moroccan culture either. I personally lean more towards my Moroccan roots, but that doesn’t mean that I exclude Belgian culture.
